August Wrap up and Hello September!

Gosh, it seems like an age I was here last, and looking back it was quite a few weeks, no excuse really, just had terrible readers block, every time I went to read something, I got a little way in and then, lost interest, so tried another book, the same and again, so was not going to fight it any longer and took a little bit of a break and paid some attention to my skincare blog.

I am still in a little bit of a non reading mood, but have been watching  things, listening to books and playing a game I love to play World of Warcraft, so it has been a nice break from reading, I don’t mean that in a horrible way at all, but sometimes you just need a break:)

So, Bye Bye AUGUST  and goodbye to some books that I did not get on or was not in the mood for-

  • Caraval– sorry do not see what all the fuss is about, was listening as an audiobook and really did not gel with me
  •  WinterWant to get this done with, it’s so big and I am intimidated, especially as not in the mood for so many pages!
  • Corpus again, probably not in the mood, was looking for something different and perhaps it was the wrong time as I liked the premise
  • Heartless – Again, nothing to do with the book, I really wanted to enjoy it, but I just think i was trying to force myself to read, will defiantly try again, have read a lot of good things about it

Also I failed miserably in promoting and subsequently following through with my ‘Alice and Wonderland’ month, I might resurrect this at some point 🙂

Also failed really badly too when my library book haul, I had such high hopes, but I do feel like September will be better!

I worked really hard in the beginning of August to try to get my name out there and connect with other bloggers etc and then, it was slamming the door shut, I had no energy to read let alone blog, work and life stuff just got in the way and actually felt bad about it, but you have to think about number one and I took a rest.

WELCOME SEPTEMBER, transitioning from Summer to Autumn, I will miss the warmth of the sun when it goes, but hey ho, just got to grab every bit of it whilst you can now.

Things to look forward to in this month …hopefully!

I am connecting with another Book blog my namesake actually where we are reading the same book ( The summer of Impossible things) and telling the world our thoughts, so that will be interesting, as I know we have a marked difference in book preferences.

More reviews of Films, bringing in some Non Fiction Book reviews and some audiobook reviews and hopefully some other book related shizzle, if I can get my arse into gear!

I hope everyone has a great September, I do have a week off work, mid month, so looking forward to that 🙂

TTFN and hoping to be a better book blogger!
